PCL’s educational program in Siem Reap, Cambodia seeks to “Empower Potential” by providing significant learning experiences for the Khmer people. This is made possible through various formal and non-formal educational programs.
The formal education program includes special English classes for both children and young people. In these classes, Khmer students work to establish and develop their skills in the English language.
The non-formal educational program includes vocational courses such as sewing classes established for the widows and community mothers; and woodworking classes for the young orphan boys. Recently, C-PCL added another sustainability program involving soap and shampoo making.
Since its establishment in May of 2005 the school has been able to help more than 700 community children. The children attend school Mondays-Thursday with every Thursday being designed for fun-activities involving different sports and other fun outdoor games.
C-PCL’s goal is to produce students with highly developed skills in the English language; students with HOPE and maximized POTENTIAL so they can contribute positively to the growth of their nation.
